The Sponsored Dance or Wiggle 2012
Happy Days is a charity dedicated to providing holidays, residential trips, days out and theatre trips for disadvantaged young people with special needs. The Happy Days annual sponsored bounce & toddle takes place in nurseries and pre-school groups across the country during May and this year City Gates Day Nursery will be taking part if you would like your child to be involved please take a sponsor form from reception.
25% of the money you raise will benefit City Gates Day Nursery and there will be prizes and certificates on offer for all the children who take part. And for the school or nursery which raises the most money across the country, there is a prize of a Toys ‘R’ Us voucher for £250. The individual child who raises the most money wins a Toys ‘R’ Us voucher for £50 and a plaque with the title of ‘Junior Fundraiser of the Year’.
NDNA Nursery Awards
City Gates Day Nursery is entering the NDNA Nursery Awards 2012 but we need your support to win. This is the only Nursery Awards voted for by parents and carers. Please vote for our nursery as the NDNA Nursery of the year, you can also thank a member of staff for all their hard work by voting for them as NDNA Nursery Practitioner of the year. For more information on the award and to vote please download a voting form and fill out page 4/5 or both please return your vote to the nursery by Friday 2nd March 2012 . Alternatively take a copy of the voting forms from the parents notice board at the nursery.
Free Nursery Places
Free Nursery places are available for pre-school children (3-4 years) Register your child today!
STARTING SCHOOL
If your child was born between 1st September 2007 and 31st August 2008 you must apply for a place at a primary school by 15th January 2012 for further information click here
PARENT FEEDBACK
This month we are revising our menu, to ensure that the food we give your child is healthy, nutritious and varied. We would like your help by completing a feedback sheet.City Gates Day Nursery is always open to new ideas and suggestions. Please complete the feedback sheet stating your child’s name at the top and email to annettebaidoo@citygates.org.uk or alternatively print and return to the staff in your child’s room by Friday 13th January 2012. Happy new year 2012. Just a reminder to all parents that invoices have been sent via email and will not be printed unless requested. If you’d like to switch back to a hard copy please visit reception. If you pay via BACS please visit reception to collect your receipt.
