The Sponsored Dance or Wiggle 2012


Happy Days is a charity dedicated to providing holidays, residential trips, days out and theatre trips for disadvantaged young people with special needs. The Happy Days annual sponsored bounce & toddle takes place in nurseries and pre-school groups across the country during May and this year City Gates Day Nursery will be taking part if you would like your child to be involved please take a sponsor form from reception.

25% of the money you raise will benefit City Gates Day Nursery and there will be prizes and certificates on offer for all the children who take part. And for the school or nursery which raises the most money across the country, there is a prize of a Toys ‘R’ Us voucher for £250. The individual child who raises the most money wins a Toys ‘R’ Us voucher for £50 and a plaque with the title of ‘Junior Fundraiser of the Year’.

NDNA Nursery Awards


City Gates Day Nursery is entering the NDNA Nursery Awards 2012 but we need your support to win. This is the only Nursery Awards voted for by parents and carers. Please vote for our nursery as the NDNA Nursery of the year, you can also thank a member of staff for all their hard work by voting for them as NDNA Nursery Practitioner of the year. For more information on the award and to vote please download a voting form and fill out page 4/5 or both please return your vote to the nursery by Friday 2nd March 2012 . Alternatively take a copy of the voting forms from the parents notice board at the nursery.

City Gates Day Nursery is always open to new ideas and suggestions. Please complete the feedback sheet stating your child’s name at the top and email to annettebaidoo@citygates.org.uk or alternatively print and return to the staff in your child’s room by Friday 13th January 2012. Congratulations to Butterfly Room at City Gates Day Nursery for winning the best Christmas decorations of 2011. Room Leader Belinda has won £50 to spend on Butterfly room which will go towards equipment needed. Well done to all the other rooms in the nursery you were all pretty close :)

Christmas Break

Just a reminder that the nursery will be closing on Friday 23rd December at 4:30PM for the Christmas holiday’s. The new term begins Wednesday 4th January 2012. Merry Christmas from all the staff at City Gates Day Nursery and a Happy New Year.

Invoices Via Email

As of January 2012 all invoices well be automatically sent to parents and guardians through email unless otherwise requested. If you’d like to change your email address please speak to someone at reception or alternatively please email annettebaidoo@citygates.org.uk stating your child’s name with the subject heading containing change e-mail address.

Now available FREE French lessons for Pre-Schoolers every Thursday between 2pm-3pm. The last lesson for 2011 will be Thursday 15th December. French with Caroline for 2012 TBA

Although this is a FREE class donations would be appreciated. All proceeds go towards City Gates Time To Build Campaign.

Open Day

Our next open day will be in April 2012 (Date and Time TBA) there’s no need to book an appointment. If you’re interested in your child attending the nursery come along to the viewing and speak to our dedicated staff.

If you’re a parent with your child currently attending the nursery bring a friend and their child along to the next open day and if they register you are in with a chance to win a £20 Mothercare voucher. When the child starts you will receive a £50 deduction off your next invoice.
